Villa Canteena
Vibrant Mexican-fiesta beachfront villa with private patio bar

A private family estate, opened to guests only when it is not reserved for family use. Five private villas and two palapa suites share one gated stretch of sand.
Hacienda del Secreto began as one family's beach house more than 25 years ago and grew, villa by villa, into a walled beachfront estate. It is not a resort and does not run like one: a private family estate, opened to guests only when it is not reserved for family use.
That model shapes everything guests notice — staff who work one property, gardens with a cenote threading between the villas, and a shore quiet enough that sea turtles still nest on it every summer. When your group reserves three or more villas, the gates close entirely: the estate becomes yours alone.

Each villa keeps its own architecture, pool and staff rhythm; the suites sit above the estate's palapa. Exact sleeping counts for your group are confirmed with your itinerary.
Vibrant Mexican-fiesta beachfront villa with private patio bar
Turquoise-and-gold Caribbean villa across three luminous levels
Mayan-inspired three-level villa in limestone with cenote at its edge
Sea-turtle-inspired coastal sanctuary in a gated four-villa enclave
Expansive six-bedroom flagship for large families and groups
Ocean-view hideaway for two on the second level of Palapa Papa Jack
Playful family suite above the Palapa game level
Reserve three or more villas and the estate becomes a total buyout — closed to anyone outside your group. 27 bedrooms, five pools, the event palapa and the beach — one group, one staff of 32.
More than 200 weddings over 25+ years — ceremony on the sand, your people in the villas, nobody else on the property.
Comparing Riviera Maya venues? The estate case: real lodging for 60+, one culinary team, gates that close.
Off-sites with total privacy: villas instead of hotel floors, the event palapa for sessions, the beach for everything else.
Together under seven roofs — grandparents, kids, old friends — without sharing a single wall.

Playa del Secreto is a residential stretch of the Riviera Maya with no resort strip — which is why, from May–October, giant sea turtles still nest on this sand. Guests watch from the estate's own beach, at a respectful distance.
An on-site private restaurant — Mexican breakfasts to five-course dinners, served table-side, poolside, beachside, or beside the cenote by candlelight.
A dedicated team that begins coordinating transportation and plans from 30 days before arrival.
Professional massage and wellness therapies on the estate, plus a sea-view gym.
Daily housekeeping with nightly turndown, laundry, and 24/7 security.
A few minutes across the whole property — the villas, the palapa, the gardens and the shore. Press play; nothing autoplays, and the sound is yours to turn on.
“Nothing compares to the personal attention and the luxury you experience at Secreto.”
“The stay was spectacular – great staff, beautiful views, beautiful villas. I'd go back ...”
“Can't wait to go back for a second trip! Fabulous vacation, turtles a bonus!”
Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out at 11:00 am. If you arrive early or leave late, the security team can hold your luggage on the estate.
Each villa can host up to two extra guests for an additional per-night fee plus tax, confirmed at booking. Exact villa capacities are confirmed with your itinerary.
Hacienda del Secreto is a private family estate first. It is opened to travelers only when it is not reserved for family use — which is why dates are confirmed personally rather than through an instant calendar.
