A wedding with the whole estate to yourselves
More than 200 weddings over 25+ years — the ceremony on quiet sand, your guests asleep in the villas above it, and the gates closed to everyone else.
The difference is who else is there: nobody
A resort wedding happens in a corner of someone else's property. Here, reserving three or more villas closes the estate entirely — a total buyout, with no one inside the gates but your group. Your guest list sleeps on site — 60+ across 27 bedrooms — and the staff of 32 works your wedding and nothing else.
The estate has run this play for a long time: it has been the setting for more than two hundred weddings, with the culinary team, gardens and beach all inside the same gates. "No crowds — just the Caribbean, the couple, and their chosen people," as the estate itself puts it.
Four scenes, one property

The days before
Your people arrive over a day or two and spread out across the villas — the rehearsal dinner happens on the same sand as the ceremony, without a single transfer bus.

The ceremony
Chairs on the estate’s own beach, the Caribbean as the backdrop, and nobody in the frame you didn’t invite. In turtle season (May–October), the aisle shares its sand with nesting sites — a detail no ballroom can offer.

Dinner and the dance
The event palapa and The Butterfly Landing wellness pavilion carry the evening — dinner from the estate’s own chefs, then the long night, steps from every bed on the property.

The morning after
Recovery brunch by the pools, families still together, no checkout stampede. The estate stays yours until it’s time to go.

Planning questions
Why isn't the estate always available?
Hacienda del Secreto is a private family estate first. It is opened to travelers only when it is not reserved for family use — which is why dates are confirmed personally rather than through an instant calendar.
Can we rent the entire estate?
Yes. Reserving three or more villas closes the estate to anyone outside your group — a total buyout of the villas, suites, pools, event palapa and beach frontage.
How many wedding guests can the estate host?
Overnight, the villa collection sleeps 60+ guests across 27 bedrooms. Ceremony and reception capacities for the beach, event palapa and The Butterfly Landing are confirmed during planning with the estate team.
How does dining work on the estate?
The estate runs its own private restaurant with chefs preparing everything from Mexican breakfasts to five-course dinners — served table-side, poolside, beachside, or beside the cenote by candlelight. Outside food vendors aren't part of the estate's model; menus are planned with the culinary team.
